How BIG is it? The Kerinci Volcano is 3800-m-high it towers and over 2400-3300 m above surrounding plains. It is a 13 x 25 km wide volcano. It is about the height of 32 football fields stacked on top of one another!!! It is about as wide across as Attalla!! (8 miles by 25 miles)
Kerinci is located in central Sumatra and is Indonesia's highest volcano. Kerinci is one of the most active volcanoes in Sumatra and has been the source of numerous moderate explosive eruptions since its first recorded eruption in 1838.
