WHAT’S COMING? Medicaid – finance report • MAER process will change after December 31, 2011 • MAER report forms were mailed October 31 for you to begin working on them now and avoid the last minute December rush
WHAT’s COMING? Data Collection • Initial IEPs • Date of Parental Consent must be submitted in MSDS during the reporting period • If parental consent to evaluate is received by February 8 must be reported in spring MSDS collection

226,837 During the 2009–2010 school year, Michigan students with IEPs lost days of instruction due to suspensions and expulsions.
In 2010, black students with IEPs ages 3 to 21 comprised 20%of all students with IEPs. Yet nearly 50%of the students with IEPs ages 3 to 21 with disciplinary removals greater than 10 days are black.
