AJ2004 Organisation • 5 Directorates • Chief: Security, Safety, Health • Sites and Services: Buildings, waste management, power, water roads • Camping: Accommodation and Welfare • Programme: all the fun stuff! Games, activities • Support Services: Admin, food and equipment supply, catering, transport, Comms, IT&T (That’s us!)

  10. IT&T provides: • 200 telephone and fax services • 180 Computers • Internet and Intranet access • 2 Internet cafés (40 PCs) • Support to on site and off site games

  11. How will we do it? Telecommunications • 200 line PABX with indial facilities in Jamboree Central • 2 Operator positions • Extensive Cable Network (XXX Km). 13 IDFs • Telstra ISDN 30 feed for PABX exchange lines

  12. How will we do it? Information Technology • Server room in Jamboree Central • ISP support (TBA) • Extensive pair cable network • Cisco Long Range Ethernet (LRE feeds) (Min 2 Mb/s) • Hubs and Cat 5 distribution • Hubs and Cat 5 in Jamboree Central

  13. Cabling • Telstra providing Optic Fibre and pair cable onto site • Jamboree Distribution Frame at Jamboree Central • Backbone cable on power poles to IDFs • “Last mile” cable from IDF to tents, ATCOs Caravans etc
