  2. There are lots of masts because they need lots of sails so they can go fast

  3. This is called a figurehead

  4. They used guns when they boarded other ships

  5. This is for pushing the cannonballs into the cannon

  6. These are the cannonballs

  7. This is the crows nest. The lookout watched for ships and land

  8. It takes 8 men to push the gunpowder down the barrel and the cannonball. Next they run and tug like mad and drag the cannon to the gunport. Finally they light the taper
