FIGARO background • European Supply, Use and Input-Output tables compiled since 2012 • Policy demand (GVC, growth and productivity, environmental accounts) • Existing international initiatives WIOD, TiVA • New methodological framework with ESA 2010 • Sustainability and quality assurance of published data • International developments

FIGARO General description • National accounts framework • Build up on available data • Standards: ESA 2010, NACE Rev 2 (ISIC 4), CPC/CPA • European inter-country tables ( + US) • EU part of OECD database and world database • Link to labour and capital productivity, environmental accounts, business statistics extensions

FIGARO aims • Establish framework, infrastructure and capacity • At Eurostat level • Regular, annual, five-yearly compilation and dissemination • Experiment year 2010, industries breakdown A10 to A64 • Strategy for regular production • Annual Input-Output tables • Five-yearly benchmark Supply, Use and Input-Output tables

FIGARO project organisation • Tasks and work packages • Take stock of international initiatives • Define suitable methodological framework for EU IC-SUIOT • Construct EU IC SUIOTs for year 2010 • Integrate EU IC SUIOTs in OECD global database, world database • A10 industries version linked to labour and capital productivity indicators
