  2. Teacher PageOBJECTIVE: The learner will read passages and look for context clues to understand what is being said in each sentence.Activity: The learner will write a narrative using three to five context clues in their story.

  3. Teacher Page PROCEDURE: 1 Go through the presentation with the class. Discuss the context clues given. 2. Use the pen to underline the clues and their meaning. 3. Have the students select a topic. Have them give three to five context clues in their writing.

  13. When looking for context clues in reading, read the entire sentence or passage. Look for words that have the same meaning.

  14. IT IS YOUR TURN • Write your own story using 3 to 5 examples of context clues in your writing. Remember, try to find two words that have the same meaning. • When your final copy is finished, draw a picture to go with your story. • Good Luck!!!
