  2. INTRODUCTION Construction waste consists of unwanted material produced directly or incidentally by the construction. T here are many factors and solution to overcome construction waste. Objectives • 1. Investigate the factors cause the construction waste2. Determine the best way to overcome the • waste problem

  3. Research question 1. What are the factors that cause the construction waste?2.What are the best way to overcome the construction waste problem?

  4. Research Methodology • UMP student(2nd year only) • 30 respondent • 30 questionnaire

  5. Result and Analysis Faniran and Caban, (1993) the five most significant sources of construction waste : • design changes • leftover material scraps • wastes from packaging and non-reclaimable consumables, • design/detailing errors • poor weather.

  6. Teo and Loosemore (2001) • recommended that people’s behavior and attitudes plays important role in managing construction waste.

  7. Zhao, Leeftink and Rotter (2009) • recycle construction waste can contribute to a lot of benefits.
