  2. Current Status Enquiry stage: 40.00 (registration of DIS). DIS ballot will be shortly conducted. But in fact a serious incident had come out of the blue.

  3. What happened? TC204 was ready to conduct DIS ballot for PRESTO. ISO CS, however, turned down the balloting saying PRESTO had already been deleted from the ISO servers due to 2-year rule. All-out efforts that Ms. Ging Ging and Mr. Messa (TC204) made finally reinstated PRESTO.

  4. Work history of PRESTO [1] 1) PWI was accepted at the Naples Plenary in Nov, 2000. 2) Approved to conduct NP ballot at the London Plenary in March, 2002. 3) NP ballot was conducted until Oct 15, 2002 [N841] and approved on Jan 9, 2003 with the results being revised [N882] . I think preparatory stage (20.00) started on Jan 9, 2003.

Work history of PRESTO [2] 4) Approved to conduct CD ballot at the Beijing Plenary in Oct, 2005. 5) CD ballot was conducted from Jan 21 trough Apr 21, 2005 [N1058] and approved on Aug 1, 2005 [N1118]. Then all comments were resolved. 6) Approved to conduct DIS ballot at the Bussan Plenary in Apr, 2006.

  6. Work history of PRESTO [3] 7) ISO CS refused to conduct DIS ballot in Dec, 2006 insisting the work item had already been canceled before the start of CD ballot due to 2-year rule. Then, the deadline was Jan 8, 2005 and the start of CD ballot was 13 days late? Next committee stage should have started by the registration of CD (before the start of CD ballot). Note) Following the automatic cancellation by ISO CS a project may be reinstated under the following conditions: demonstrate stage progression within the 3 months following its cancellation (only in the case of projects canceled under the 2-year rule)

  7. Work history of PRESTO [4] 8) Ms. Ging Ging and Mr. Messa finally forced stubborn CS to be convinced that PRESTO is innocent. 9) PRESTO was happily reinstated in March, 2007. I want to know precisely when the next deadline is in case the same thing occurs in the future. Hope you will vote for PRESTO in upcoming ＤＩＳ ballot Thank you
