  2. Business Technology Applications • 1st and 2nd blocks • Designed to assist students in developing technological proficiencies in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, communications, Internet use, ethics, and careers using technology applications

  3. Law in Society • 3rd block • Designed to acquaint students with basic legal principles common to business and personal activities. Topics include personal concepts to assist students when evaluating contracts, maximizing purchasing power through credit, purchasing appropriate insurance, and renting or owning real estate. Business concepts such as contracting, starting a business, hiring employees, managing employees, and representing other businesses as employee or contractor are included.

  4. Supplies • $20 Lab Fee • Jump Drive • Pen/Pencil • 1-inch 3 ring binder

Future Business Leaders of America • Goals: develop competent leadership, strengthen confidence, create an interest in and understand American business enterprise, encourage members to develop projects that contribute to home, business and community, develop character, citizenship, and patriotism, practice money management, encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty, assist in establishing occupational goals, and facilitate transition from school to work. • Dues: $30 (national, state, and local dues plus club T-shirt) – Due by September 30.

  6. Tips for Success • Attendance is vital • Be on time and begin work once you arrive • Ask questions • Be organized • Follow all lab safety rules

Schedule The regular student bell schedule is as follows: • 7:40am  Doors Open  • 7:45am  Warning Bell (Transition to 1st Block)  • 7:50am - 9:42am  1st Block          • 8:55am-9:10am --- 1st Break         • 9:27am-9:42am --- 2nd Break  • 9:42am - 9:47am  Transition to 2nd Block  • 9:47am - 11:19am  2nd Block  • 11:19am - 11:24am  Transition to 3rd Block  • 11:24am - 1:21pm  3rd Block         • 11:19am-11:44am --- 1st Lunch         • 12:10pm-12:35pm --- 2nd Lunch         • 12:56pm-1:21pm --- 3rd Lunch  • 1:21pm - 1:26pm  Transition to 4th Block  • 1:26pm - 2:58pm  4th Block
