Introduction • Calling all cooks – we’re looking for the best culinary creations • AISD and Kelly’s Grocery have teamed-up to host a cooking contest • Contest to be held on Saturday, May 12th • Open to all Life Skill Students in grades 7-12 • Cash prizes will be awarded for winning recipes • Chefs will double recipes for tasting-party
Contest Rules • Only students enrolled and in good standing in Life Skills may enter • Recipe must be sent in three weeks prior to contest • Provide a detailed list of necessary ingredients • Kelly’s will contribute all ingredients • Contestants must prepare their recipes at the new CATE center • All dishes must be ready for judging by noon • Up to two people may work together
Food Categories • The first annual AISD cooking contest has three categories including: • Main dishes – casseroles, one-dish meals, etc. • Side dishes – vegetable casseroles, salads, etc. • Desserts – cakes, pies, cookies, no-bake desserts, etc.
Available Prizes • Three prizes will be awarded in each category: • First place winner receives $100 • Second place winner receives $50 • Third place winner receives $25 • All contestants receive gift bags from Kelly’s
