Summer Jobs • Faculty and Graduate Assistant Summer Appointments. • Summer jobs have been applied to job data from the summer job review file. • Review data for accuracy. • Departments need to do distributions for the summer jobs for the pay period 5/4/07 to 5/17/07.
Summer Jobs • ePAF’s are to be done for summer jobs not entered via the summer job review file. • Reminder: Terminations need to be done for all ePAF’s submitted for summer. • Questions? Contact Academic Personnel Office
Compensatory Leave Cash-Out • Cash-out will occur during the May 18 – May 31 pay period • Balance as of May 17 will be used for the cash-out • Payment will appear on the June 8 paycheck. • Employees have until end of the fiscal year to use accrued leave • Employee should project usage on accurate date through June 30 • Must be reported into myUFL by 5:00 p.m., May 27 • Unused compensatory leave will be cashed out • Departments may require employees to use compensatory leave.
Compensatory Leave Cash-Out • Compensatory leave earned after May 17 will be part of the FY 07-08 balances. • Available Reports under Enterprise Reporting, Human Resources Information, Benefits Information, Leave • Leave Accruals, Usage and Balances by Pay Period, Department • Leave Accruals, Usage, and Balances by Pay Period, Department – Comp Only • Contact Central Leave Administration about hours accrued in error to prevent payment.
Summer Deductions • UF plans on a 16 deduction cycle temporarily cease over the summer without causing disruption in coverage. • For 12 mo. staff - Personal Accident and Jefferson Pilot deductions end • For 9-10 mo. staff the following end: Personal Accident Jefferson Pilot (UF Term Life) LTD LTC Eagles Dental Monumental Whole Life Hanover (auto/homeowner) • The 16 deduction cycle ended on the 4/27/07 payday. Regular premiums for these plans will resume on the first check in September.
Summer Deductions • State plan deductions operate differently • For 12 mo. staff - deductions continue all year • For 9-10 mo. staff - the last double deduction is on the 5/11/07 payday • 9-10 mo. Summer appointments all deductions stop in the summer • Regular state plan deductions for 9-10 mo. staff resume on the first check in September • New 9-10 mo. employees hired in the summer should contact UF Benefits regarding premium collection • Questions?
