Process • 1 – Sling Shot • Uses elastic potential energy • Converts to potential energy • Launches ball into air • 2 – Funnel and tube • Converts potential energy to kinetic energy • Falls down tube • 3 – Collision and end of tube • Conserves momentum • Moves up 3.25” through tube
Process (continued) • 4 – Mouse trap triggered • Tension in string • Pulls string through pulley system • String pulls nail out • 5 – Stamper • Elastic potential energy to kinetic energy • Stored energy in mousetrap • 6 – Paper stamped
