1. Background New Acceptance Requirements • Take effect October 1, 2005 • Require at least 12 acceptance tests for mechanical and electrical equipment • Awareness of the changes are essential to ensure the new requirements have the desired effect
2. Scope of Work Item 1: Customized Curriculum • Building departments (plan checkers and inspectors) • Goal: Provide evaluation criteria and guidance to help them • accurately and consistently review compliance forms • Test providers (installing contractors, PE’s, TAB professionals, Cx providers) • Goal: Teach them how to conduct tests and resolve problems to • ensure accurate and sound results • Designers • Goal: Inform them of new requirements and the impacts on • equipment selection
2. Scope of Work Item 2: Training for Test Providers and Designers • Suggested locations: San Francisco, Irwindale, Sacramento • Attendees receive copy of PowerPoint presentation on CD • Test providers: A modular schedule will allow them to attend only relevant sessions, for example: • 8:00am-11:30am Complex Mechanical Systems • 11:30am-12:00pm Break • 12:00pm-2:00pm Simple Mechanical Systems • 2:00pm-2:30pm Break • 2:30pm-5:00pm Electrical Systems • Designers: ½ day session (approx. 3 hrs), can be held both morning and afternoon in each location, if necessary

Scope of Work Item 3: Marketing • Target markets: contractors, PEs, TAB professionals, Cx providers, mechanical/electrical systems designers • Strategies: on-line calendars, email announcements, newsletter listings, advertisements • Channels: • Organizations: Utilities, CCC, BCA, APPA, USGBC, ASHRAE, IHACI • Venues: PEC, CTAC, SMUD Customer Service Center • Publications: HPAC, Engineered Systems, Indoor Comfort News, HVAC/R News
