  3. Think about the following: • Pattern • Texture • Symmetry • Design • Shape/Form • Size/proportion

  4. Your assignment: • With the books provided, select an insect that you would like to draw. • Begin with pencil to draw. • After you finish, we will outline the insects in black Sharpie/pen/ink/etc. and add color with colored pencils. • Use the entire piece of paper to draw your insect.

  5. Optional:You may want to draw multiple insects.

  6. For this assignment, you must create a background, whether of the insects’ habitat or of an abstract design.
