  1. Story of an old man I am 60 yrs old and I am retired . I either get pension or I am unemployed. I get sick too often and feel weak because of old age. I need medical care but care is getting very expensive now a days. If I get care I feel that I can still earn and contribute to the society b/o my rich experience. Some time I see that my friends get sick and they need admission to ICU which drains their finances.

Some people die too. We are the human capital of our country We contribute to our GDP Health care cost are too expensive after getting the event Prevention of disease is very economic. People are saved from economic , mental and social problems
  3. Introduction: Hospital Management Company Ltd. is incorporated in 2012 . It has acquired ISO Certified Life Care Hospital to make it a profitable venture.

  5. Milestone of Life Care Hospital Started in 1993 with 15 beds primary care service. In 2000 it became secondary care hospital with state of art equipment in non invasive cardiology, pulmonology , gastroenterology , Pathology , Women health and ICU. In 2007 it became the largest ICU in Nepal in private sector with 12 ICU beds , 7 ventilators , ABG Machine , portable X-Ray & dialysis. In 2008 end, it started neuro operation for trauma cases and it became trauma centre
  6. Mile stone contd….. In 2010 it added another 12 beds in ICU with another 6 ventilators. In 2011 it added Dual Slice CT scan machine & additional 12 beds in ICU , Now it has total 36 beds in ICU. ( largest in Kathmandu Valley). At present it is tertiary care Hospital. It is the leader in conducting preventive health checkup to decrease the epidemic of Non Communicable disease such as cardio vascular disease, diabetes , COPD , cancer & osteoporosis

It has own building & it has all the required modern /state of art equipments. 1st Hospital to introduce Preventive Health Checkup Plan for NCD in Nepal.(around one lakh checkup in 5 years. Centrally located ,easy for transportation.

  10. Why disinvestments. To raise the fund by increasing maximum number of shareholders in order to make it ‘peoples hospital’ followed by ownership feeling (2500 shareholders) around the country. Fund will be utilized to strengthen & expand the current business. To involve common shareholder in our management to upgrade its service quality & increase the customer base. Shareholders will endorse the brand( Company)

What after disinvestment? after closing down the issue of common shares (maximum (5000)we will sell the services for a certain period of time at fixed cost of Rs.100000 (Time Share) for interested people on non refundable basis (Time duration – 20 yrs). After expiry of 2o years time duration, service scheme will have to be renewed by paying the revised fee ( but they are not the shareholders of this company)
  12. In kathmandu there are 5 lakh people above 60 yrs of age. At least 1 lakh people will like to seek general medical care as well as critical care cover to meet their needs. Unfortunately health / critical care insurance is not available to the people above 60 yrs of age. So this is an opportunity for us to cater to the demand of this segment of people.
  13. Introduction to NCD What is NCD? Improved lifestyle & amenities in the city area has increased our lifespan. Now people die because of heart attack, stroke, accidents, diabetes, breathing problems, cancer & mental disorders. These all are non-communicable diseases (NCD). Peculiarity about NCD is that they do not manifest symptoms at early stage. By the time it become symptomatic, it is too late. That’s why NCD is seen at later part of the life but foundation of NCD is Laid Down in early part of life.
