  7. Debris Removal Max Lateral Limits • Interstate – 50’ from edge line • US/State Road – 40’ from edge line • Others – 20’ from edge line • Debris in drainage ditch

  8. Pre-Event Contracts • If local agencies utilize pre-event contracts they must be consistent with the approved State FDOT scope to be considered eligible for federal-aid reimbursement.

  9. Contract Documents • MUST BE WRITTEN – No verbal contract • 1273 Attached Purchase Order Piggy-back contract

  10. Debris Removal Operations • Veg, C&D, White Goods pick up in different trucks but within the same time frame (a few days apart but not a few weeks)

  11. DDIR • Written within 6 months after Fed declaration • Written contractual document • Environmental Checklist • Estimated Quantities • Estimated Cost

  12. FHWA Reimbursement Process • County-wide group meeting • Individual meeting with municipality • FHWA & FDOT review damage and cost documentations • Site visit • Write DDIR • Invoicing • JPA
