Homework Policy Purpose is fourfold: • Extend concepts learned in the classroom. • Provide opportunities for independent work. • Strengthen concept and skill development. • Provide enrichment opportunities.
Homework Policy • Should take no more than 60 to 75 minutes a night total. • Is due on the assigned day unless illness or death in the family prevented it. Additional time will be given. • Please notify teacher with a note, call, or email.

Science/Health Curriculum • Family Life Unit taught in the second semester • Students are able to do alternate work if parents choose to have them do so. • Sessions will be held after winter break to discuss content that will be taught
Reading • Language: Vocabulary • Reading: Informational Text • Reading: Literature • Students will have nightly reading assignments to reach the grade level goal of 25 books for the school year. MSA Reading: March 5th and March 6th, 2014

Specials • Art, Music, Physical Education, Band, Chorus • Art, Music, PE, and Media are once a week • Chorus is on Thursday mornings • Band is taught once a week for 30-40 minutes • Students will have band buddies to ensure they get materials presented in class while they were gone.
