Chile's growth slowed from an average of 7.3% in 1990´s to 4% in 2000´s. To tackle inequality. While Chile has made substantial progress in reducing poverty, the average income of the richest 20% was 14 times that of the poorest 20% in 2009. The government is working on these challenges: Education reform.
