Education + Training2011-2012 Highlights • Expanded Higher Education program to 18 post-secondary institutions • Delivering first 9-month Sustainable Building Advisor (SBA) certification program • Built partnerships with corporations + associations to address education needs • LEED Canada NC 2009 Higher Education course met CMP requirements for LEED AP Specialty • Education partner program generated content for 14 workshops + courses
Communications & Marketing 2011-2012 Highlights • Developed Marketing + Communications capacity • Completed CaGBC brand analysis + developed new brand positioning statement • Increased CaGBC media coverage + social media activity • Membership drive to increase retention + recruitment of new ones • Launched first Sustainable Builder Advisor program
EventsGreenBuild & Canada House • Greenbuild Toronto • 23,000 delegates + 600 delegates at the Canadian education track • 550 people visiting the region’s best green buildings • 300 students and young professionals filled 800 volunteer shifts • 19 bioregional partners • 2 local urban farming projects funded as Greenbuild Legacy Projects • Canada House • a venue for networking & showcasing Canadian capabilities • 2,500 people came through over two days • business-to-business meetings: 275 companies in 600 meetings • breakfast roundtable conference for Canadian & US industry leaders hosted by US Ambassador to Canada David Jacobson
