  2. Our testimony is the vocal form of the visible change the Bible made in us! "saw the one who had been demon-possessed, Jesus said, Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you,” (Mark 5:19) v. 42 - So shall I have an answer ……. v. 43 - ……. out of my mouth v. 46 - I will speak ….

Our testimony begins with a Relationship(v. 41) “salvation” Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15:3,4) • Salvation cleanses the past – Ephesians 2:1-22 • Salvation changes the present – 2 Cor. 5:17 • Salvation certifies the future – 1 Peter 1:23 People see the change but don’t know why or what happened if we don’t speak!

  4. Giving an answer to the “taunt” Got “religion”; become a “Holy Joe”; won’t last; so I take my Bible and tell them. John 1:12 John 9:25 Romans 6:1-18 1 Corinthians 6:11 Ephesians 2:10 2 Peter 3:18 Tell them about the persecutor/preacher; sinner/saints; seekers/soul-winners and others.

Our testimony explains the reason of our hope (v.43) The Bible explains why I’m • Confident (hope) – (v.43) 2 Timothy 1:12 • Walk differently (keep) (v.44) John 17:17 • Serve freely (liberty) (v.45) John 8:36 • Happy (delight, love) (v. 47) Jeremiah 15:16 • Worship (hands) (v.48) Acts 2:42 If I don’t speak how will they know?

Our testimony will bring us before Royalty (v.46) Acts 9:15 - “he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before kings” Daniel 1:9 – “Daniel purposed in his heart” Genesis 41:14 – “Pharaoh called Joseph” 1 Peter 3:15 – “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear”

  7. Changed and changing – why? Psalm 66:16 – “let me tell you what God did for me.” Psalm 71:15 – “I'll talk up your salvation all the day, never run out of good things to say” 1 Timothy 1:15 - Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I'm proof - Public Sinner Number One – “I’m only a sinner, saved by grace”

  8. Saying what’s seen Our testimony is the vocalform of the visible change the Bible made in us! He replied, I know one thing for sure: I was blind . . . I now see." (John 9:15) Saved? Say It!

  9. Psalm 119:49-56 The Encouraging Word “caused me to hope” (v. 49)

  10. Hope is a Confident and assured expectation in my future. Romans 15:4 Proverbs 14:32 Colossians 1:5 Hebrews 6:18, 19 1 Peter 1:3

  11. Now & then • I have affliction, then I’ll have glory (v.50, 52) Romans 8:17 1 Peter 1:4 Philippians 1:22 • I have mockers, then I’ll have reward (v.51) Matthew 25:23 Daniel 12:3 • I have vexation, then comes justice (v. 53) Galatians 6:5 Ecclesiastes 8:12 Psalm 73

  12. 4. I have tent, then a place (v.54) John 14:1-3 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 5. I have songs, then the song (v.55) Revelation 4 19 6. Now His person, then His presence (v.56) Philippians 1:22

  13. Encouraged by the Bible I have hope so I read, remember, rehearse, and wait for the fulfillment of His Word.
