  2. Preterite verbs with “y” changes When a verb’s stem ends in a vowel, they need a “y” in the él, ella, ud. and the ellos, ellas, uds. forms. Examples would be: Oír Leer Creer

  3. Oír – to hear oíoímos oíste oyóoyeron Notice that all forms have accents EXCEPT the “ellos, ellas, uds.” form. Ellosoyeronlasvacas.

  4. Leer – to read leíleímos leíste leyóleyeron These follow the same rules, all forms have accents EXCEPT “ellos, ellas, uds.” Isabel leyóunanovela con el nombre “Twilight.”

  5. Creer – to believe creícreímos creíste creyócreyeron Each form has an accent EXCEPT “ellos, ellas, uds.” Ella creyó el presidente, Clinton.
