What is DECA? • DECA is a student organization that focuses on the following: • Career Development • Focus is on business related careers but assists with all future endeavors • DECA partners with a variety of companies to offer students scholarships, internships, & awards. • Leadership Development • Attend leadership workshops • Pursue leadership positions at school & state level • Travel • In-State & Out-of-State travel opportunities • This Year’s Hot Spots: Washington DC, Greensboro, NC & Orlando, FL • Fun • Meet new people • Do new things

Requirements for DECA • In order to join DECA students should do the following: • Attend the info meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2 • Pay $40.00 membership fee by Sept. 26 • Be active at meetings & events • $40.00 membership fee covers: • AK DECA t-shirt • State & National Membership • Registration & Testing fees for District Conference
