  8. Final Decision : The Gas Van The initial price of the express cargo van is almost 6 times less than the Smith Newton. Factoring in fuel cost for each vehicle after a five year period still puts the Chevy($79,303) a little less than half the price of the Smith Newton($182,980). Even though the gas van would have a shorter life expectancy and have to be replaced more often, it would still be more economical.
