  4. Kiva • 170 MB of data • 190,000 loans • Time range: 2005 - 2010 • Total funding: 140 million USD • 150 categories • Example categories: agriculture, beauty salon, food product, motorcycle transport, tailoring

  5. Future Work • Drill down by investor • Automatic tag extraction from description • Porter stemming of tags • Examine funding rounds more closely: try to predict second round funding • Integrate with news sources, e.g. Google Trends, Yahoo! News, Twitter
