At first it was thought to be very helpful to mankind but as the years go by and as we discover many things to mine, the disadvantages of mining also evolved.
The definite advantage of mining is that it brings large amount of profits for the companies doing the mining and jobs for the people
It supplies raw materials that provide convenience to daily living. But more disadvantages come along with mining.

Roger Day has been called a criminal mastermind and a thief, who tried to rip off the country's military of $11 million by supplying it bogus and defective parts. He was convicted last year by a Richmond jury of multiple counts of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to smuggle goods. Day is now serving 105 years in federal prison. Day created fake companies and bid on contracts at the DSCR. He won nearly a thousand contracts, worth $4.4 million. He even shipped the Department of Defense defective products. "We worked very hard with the justice department and helping them to prosecute Mr. Day," says Brigadier General Scott Jansson, the Commander at the Defense Supply Center. He says Day's scheme could have directly impacted our men and women overseas. "If some of those fraudulent components defective components that he tried to sell us were ultimately installed in an aircraft some place it could have resulted in loss of life or loss of mission support."

Spamhaus has received several independent reports from hosting providers that the volume of such fraudulent sign-ups has increased dramatically in the past few months. Some hosting providers report that 50% of all new subscriptions are fraudulent -- every second subscription. No hosting company is immune, neither small local operations nor large multinational hosting firms with data centers on several continents. While Spamhaus' mission is to protect internet users and organizations from spam and other cyber-threats, we lack the resources and time to act as an abuse reporting service (FBL - Feedback Loop) or a consulting company. However, we would like to do what we can to help. This article provides some tips to help hosting providers prevent fraudulent sign-ups and increase the detection rate for such sign-ups. These tips are not a solution, but should help mitigate the damage and administrative costs caused by criminals.

Sargent, 52, of Chapmanville; Jerome Eddie Russell, 50, of Williamson; Frelin Workman, 58, of Belfry, Ky.; Randy Workman, 36, of Belfry, Ky.; and Arthur J. White, Jr., 60, of Lenore; pleaded guilty this week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, to frauding BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company. Sargent, previously employed by Brickstreet, pleaded guilty to honest services mail fraud and tax evasion. Sargent admitted that, from its inception in January 2006 until at least Feb. 1, 2011, he led a scheme to defraud BrickStreet by allowing certain policyholders operating in the coal mining industry to drastically underreport their payroll during annual field audits he conducted on behalf of BrickStreet for the intended purpose of confirming those policyholders were paying accurate workers’ compensation insurance premiums. Sargent further admitted that he purposely allowed four “employee leasing” companies, Aracoma Contracting, LCC., Christian Contracting, Newhall Contracting and T&W Services, LLC., all of whom provided labor on a contract basis to coal companies in southern West Virginia, to falsify documents drastically understating their actual payroll.
