Carroll Cadets Receive Top Honors. Carroll High School JROTC conducted their monthly “Cadet/NCO” of the month board with cadets representing the three companies Alpha, Bravo and Headquarters. The board is a monthly competition set up by the Chain of Command.

Carroll Cadets Receive Top Honors Carroll High School JROTC conducted their monthly “Cadet/NCO” of the month board with cadets representing the three companies Alpha, Bravo and Headquarters. The board is a monthly competition set up by the Chain of Command. C/CSM Taran McNabb serves as the president of the board. The Eagle Battalion commanders nominate their cadets based on grades, attitude and performance. Each cadet nominated receives a study guide and guidance from their cadet leaders. The cadet mentors have the honor of preparing their respective cadets for the board. The board consist of general military knowledge, first aid, drill and ceremony, map reading, physical training, proper wear of the uniform and current events. Cadet Darla Hunt daughter of Darlene Kunis took home the top honor, being recognized as the top cadet. Darla ‘s hobbies include SGA and reading. Cadet Shawn Paris Jr. the proud son of Jennifer and Shawn Paris Sr, has distinguished himself by being selected as the Eagle Battalions Non-commissioned officer of the month. Shawn is a former member of the Coyotes JROTC program at West Creek High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. He also served as member of the Raider Team as well as a squad leader prior to coming to Carroll. He is a member of the Carroll High School Rifle Team. His hobbies include, soccer, football, lacrosse, tennis, hunting, fishing, and he enjoys playing games in his spare time. Congratulations, to these outstanding young leaders.
