Why Teenagers Shouldn’t have Credit Cards. Peer Pressure. Teens might be peer pressured into buying things like food, clothes, alcohol for their friends If some of their friends all have a new $100 sweatshirt then they will want too to fit in

Peer Pressure • Teens might be peer pressured into buying things like food, clothes, alcohol for their friends • If some of their friends all have a new $100 sweatshirt then they will want too to fit in • If their fiends have the new $400 Xbox their going to want it as well
Not Mature Enough • Teenagers are not mature enough and not good enough self control • Without good enough self control they will lose control of their money and overspend and this could put their parents in financial risk and they might not be able to pay back the bills
How would they pay off their debt? • How would the teenagers pay off their debt with no source of income when your only source of money is from your parents or relatives or when it’s your birthday etc. • If teenagers were meant to have a credit card then they would be working at the age of 13 and they would be paying their own bills and they would be teaching how to pay bills in School
SAVE YOUR MONEY • I do not think that teenagers should have credit cards because if they did they would think it’s a free for all and spend all their money on clothes, food, video games when really they should be saving their money for something when their older like a car, gas money, money for rent etc.
