The Pitch. • Have you ever wondered where Superheroes go, when the the universe no longer needs them? • Well wonder no more, as we have the answer! • Welcome to “Fawlty Powers”…
Story: • 5 retired superheroes have all been placed in care by their respective interstellar Councils. In this ligh-hearted documentary, we highlight the lows and the lows of how the once mighty guardians of the Universe deal with such mundane matters as irregular bowels, eating soft fruit with dentures and remembering which pill to take and when. We also learn that our traditional understanding of the battle between good and evil, between the Jedi and the Dark Side, had more to do with illegal interstellar raves, the supply of illicit narcotics and Obi-Wan’s ability to always tap off with the hottest chicks.
Cast: 1: Andy Hay: Obi-Wan. 2: Ian Holmes: Robin. 3: Roy Barry: Darth Vader. 4: Andy Noden: Superman. 5: Nicola Flynn: The Invisible Woman. 6: Gordon Ward: The Careworker.
Location: • Shooting will be mainly carried out at Regent St. This location adds itself naturally to the illusion of a Nursing Home. • Other campus locations will also be used, as and when required.
Style and Genre. • Panorama meets Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Twin Towns. • Sci-Fi-Docu-Comedy.
Equipment: • The Force, mainly. • Or maybe some Fuji’s and Nikons. • Tripods, Sound recording equipment.
