Indian Art Museum Turns into Virtual Indian Art School During the Corona lockdown period Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) Delhi, India wants you to stay home and be safe & while you're home KNMA wants you to stay creative. For this purpose KNMA the Indian Art Museum has turned into a virtual Indian Art School. KNMA has started online DIY (Do it yourself) art classes and workshops on its social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. KNMA is encouraging people stuck at homes during lockdown to explore their artsy side through these online workshops that explain step by step process of making simple but interesting artworks at home. These Stay at Home workshops are fun and inclusive for people of all age groups as both children and adults are enjoying these sessions and are learning new art skills to make most of the time during lockdown. For example KNMA stay at Home Water Color workshop has been very popular with families and an individual alike as water-colouring is a soothing exercise that can be perfected with practice. These workshops also include children specific online classes like origami art projects. Participants can also tag KNMA in their origami work and get featured on KNMA’s social media pages! KNMA has also started taking people through its artwork collection through an online Indian Art Fair. Through these online narrating from the museum archives and collection, KNMA brings to you glimpses of exhibition ideas generated across last decade at these museum. One feels to be experiencing a virtual Indian Art Fair during Corona lockdown. ‘Ten Years of KNMA’ being showcased online looks back at ‘The Black Wall’, with works chosen from retrospectives previously held at the museum.
