  1. Promoting the Culture of Visiting Art Museum in India We live in an age of experimentation. It pays to try new things and that's why we need to overcome our preconceived notions about what is meant for us and what isn't. This applies to art and museums as well. For one reason or another, we hesitate to visit an art museum in India, thinking it isn’t our kind of place. But different forms of fine arts in India have been part of our life from the advent of civilization. You will find traces of incredible fine arts through different layers of history and cultural timelines at all monuments and historical places of India. A visit could just be the start of your love affair with it. We hope this little story of ours will encourage you to visit a museum and take in the art! Kiran Nadar Museum of Art has been promoting museum-going culture and fine arts in India through different initiatives hoping a lot more people will give a art museum in India as much a chance as any international museum they love to visit during their foreign trips. Kiran Nadar Museum of Art opened for the general public in January 2010 and is also the first private museum of India and the sub-continent. As per the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art team, a lot of us have a predisposition about art. We are intimidated by it, presuming that we will not understand it. As a result, we often avoid visiting a art museum in India, thinking art museums are not for us. However, like so many other things around us, art is best experienced, not explained. It is your interpretation that counts. Instead of attempting to decode it, we should simply enjoy it.
