  1. Selloutby: Ebony Joy Wilkins The Final Novel Project Erin Habas

  2. Setting The setting is in Harlem, New York. Most of the story takes part at Ambers Place and is where she finds the person she is.

  3. Main Character Natasha is the main character of sellout. Once she moves to Harlem, Tasha starts to find who she is. The things she encounters during the story are steps to her coming of age.

  4. Plot The story line of Sellout is Natasha doesn’t know who she is because she’s always trying to fit in. The people she meets at Ambers Place help her find who she is.

  5. Conflict The most important conflict Is character vs. self because she’s holding back who she is and not being herself.

  6. Point of View Tasha is telling her story so it’s first person point of view. The novel is told like Natasha is saying things as they happen and its happen in presentence

  7. Theme The coming of age theme is everyone is different and its important to know who you are. If you’re doing things just to fit in you aren’t being yourself and your just living someone else's life

  8. How the novel is Coming of Age The coming of age shift is from false view to correct. In the beginning Natasha is just trying to blend in and isn’t concerned about what she likes. The people that she meets and things she learns from them gives her an idea of who she is.

  9. My Thoughts Overall my novel was decent. The theme was easy to relate to so the book was realistic. My interest faded in and out because the story started getting dull at some points. Once I finished the entire book and thought about its meaning I found I liked it.

  10. The End
