All About Me • My Background • I grew up in Seaford, Delaware. • I attended Seaford Schools 1-11 and North Dorchester my senior year in Hurlock, Maryland • I have earn an Associates Degree in early childhood from Del Tech Community College, BS Degree in early childhood and a Masters in Applied Educational Technology from Wilmington University in May 2008. • My Experience • I’ve been teaching for 24 years. • Advertising Sales for 10 years. • I have taught 14 years of preschool ages 3-4 year olds, 5 years of 4-5 year olds at St. Johns Preschool and this is my 5th year of Kindergarten at Frederick Douglass.
Goals • To give you the academic tools you need to progress to 1st grade. • To provide a supportive learning environment. • To have fun while we learn. • To make new friends and discover new interests.

Homework • Each week a home work sheet will be kept in each students folder. The homework is age appropriate. • Sight words, number and letter recognition, worksheets and an occasional project • Important information will be found in the folder. Any notes or returned forms need to placed in the folder. • The blue folder is a useful communication tool between teacher, school and home.
Tardiness • Please sign your child in at the office if you are late. • Please send a note with your child to explain absence. • If your child needs to be dismissed early please send a note with your child.
Field Trips • Please send in necessary forms and money with your child. • Students must demonstrate appropriate behavior to attend field trips and other special activities. • You or a family member can chaperone field trips.
