Who? • Members involved in • Youth Leadership • Gavel Clubs • Speechcraft …( for under 18s) • Not if run specifically for Adults
Requirements: • Each presenter must have a Blue Card • Complete a Risk Management Plan • Let Youth Leadership Coordinator know about your course • Members will complete an Agreement to Comply
Considerations: • Statement of Commitment • Code of Conduct • Responsibilities, procedures and consequences
Code of Conduct • Exercise a satisfactory level of care and diligence • Report an incident relating to harm, potential or suspected harm • Support a child who is a victim of harm, potential or suspected harm
Risk Assessment Plans • Prior to commencement analyse risk • Should consider: • Number of people taking part • Age range and gender mix of participants • Venue • Provision of information • Pick up/Drop off arrangements
Before commencing: • A copy of the D69 Risk Strategy should be made available to all relevant stakeholders.
Members involved must: • exercise a satisfactory level of care and diligence when working with or supervising children and young people • report an incident relating to harm or potential or suspected harm • cooperate with relevant statutory and regulatory authorities involved in child protection. • support a child who is a victim of harm or potential or suspected victim of harm and safeguard their privacy and dignity.
