Test Plan- 46 Test Wing Test Title: Interoperability with Firebird UAV Plan #: 46/JRATS/002-004 Test Sponsor: PM, JRATS UGV Date: Test Article: JUGV, PPTA #4 Serial No: PPTA01-0004 Test Officer: Capt Merryman Test Duration: 2 hours 24.5 minutes Range: B-75 Introduction Test Objective: Under field conditions, evaluate the ability of the JRATS JUGV to traverse various terrain conditions, and then to locate, identify and transfer target identification to a Firebird UAV (via the JCCS) resulting in the engagement of the target with a Wildfire missile (missile is carried aboard the Firebird). Test Concept: JRATS operator will receive a mission requirement to dispatch a JUGV to locate, identify and target a threat representative vehicle at a predetermined range location under existing weather conditions during daylight. Upon successful completion of target ID, the JRATS operator will establish contact with the Firebird and transfer targeting information provided by the JUGV to the Firebird. The remotely controlled target vehicle will simulate typical defensive tactics. The Firebird will launch the Wildfire which will track and engage the threat target using its fire and forget capability until impact. System Description: JRATS production or deployment representative prototype test article ground vehicle with integrated electronics and avionics systems. Software build 3.1. Joint Command and Control System with communications interfaces for the Firebird UAV and JUGV. Firebird air launch of Wildfire missile subsystem.
