Systemic approach
The Rights Based Approach (RBA) is an approach to development that is supported by the UN as an integral means of conducting sustainable development.
It is based on international human rights standards and is directed towards promoting, enforcing and protecting human rights. The aim of the RBA is to integrate established human rights standards into the discussions, policies, conventions, and processes that address development.
From a human rights-based perspective -requires the identification of rightsholders
(people entitled to claim civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights) and dutybearers
(institutions that are responsible to ensure the respect of these rights).

Article 3 – the best interests of the child must be the primary consideration
Article 6 – all children have a right to life, survival and development
Article 12 – the child’s view must be considered and taken into account in all matters affecting him/her
