Big Questions Q: Do I need a computer? A: Probably. Public computers are available, but you may want the ability to work from home. Both Windows and Macs work fine. Don’t buy software! It’s available online, or at 105 Bellefield Hall. http://www.pitt.edu/computer/ http://software.pitt.edu Q: Do I need a laptop? A: No, but they are convenient. If you are buying a new computer and can afford a laptop, you should seriously consider it. Q: Do I need a PDA? A: Not during your first two years, but you may want to use one for its organizer functions.
