D.N.AObjective: SWBAT review for the Unit 4 Basic Unit of Life Quest IOT obtain a mastery of 80% or above! What is a mutation? All our cells contain a protein called P53 which controls cell division. When an individual has cancer, this protein stops working. Explain what occurs when an individual develops cancer. A change in the DNA sequence (affects genetic code!) Cancer occurs when cells lose regulation of MITOSIS and cells begin to divide uncontrollably
ANNOUNCEMENTS • Unit 4 Basic Unit of Life Quest 3 is on Friday! • DNA structure/function • Mitosis • Asexual Reproduction • Cancer • HW: Complete Review Packet
D.N.A • Take out your Unit 4 Review Packet • We will play jeopardy once the bell rings
RULES • 2 Teams • Ms. Nakamura will pick out a question • Each person will write their answer on their white board (NO CHEATING) • However many people in each team answer answer the question correctly, will get a point!
