1. What is selection process for RRB NTPC? And what are books I need to prepare for each stage? There are vacancies opened for RRB NTPC recruitment for about 35000 and out if this around 10000 is been allotted for RRT NTPC graduate while the rest of them are for RRB NTPV postgraduate candidates. Based on the candidate’s selection for the post they should prepare for the examination. The selection process involve basically 4 main stages which includes CBT 1(Computer based test), CBT 2, Skill Test/ Aptitude Test and finally document verification of all the candidates who have clear the examination tests. The candidates are required to clear the medical examination too if they are to be appointed for the post. The Computer based test 1 and 2 are compulsory for all the candidates who are applying for the post, but the skill test and aptitude test is only required for certain posts. The dates for CBT exam will be in between of June to September 2019. Based on the syllabus, candidates should prepare themselves by referring RRB NTPC books which can be helpful for them to understand the content for the examination. The topics include contents related to general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning. For both the stages of the CBT, the contents will be the same by the level of the question will be different than the other. Even the exam patter is qite different where the stage 1 examination of CBT contains 100 questions for 100 marks; the stage 2 of CBT contains 12 questions for 120 marks. Each correct answer is credited with 1 mark while 1/3rd mark extra will be deducted for every wrong answers. One should analyze the exam pattern by referring RRB NTPC previous Year question papers to get a basic idea about the weight-age for each section in the paper. 2. syllabus for CBT 1 which goes by this: Mathematics- 30 marks, general Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 marks, general awareness – 15 marks, general science – 30marks. The mark allotment for CBT 2 goes by the following method: General Awareness – 50 marks, Mathematics – 5 marks, General Intelligence and Reasoning – 35 marks. The preparation portion is not going to be easy it would be rough but you should be well prepared and this can be only possible if you have practice enough to take over any challenges you faced. You will need to practice as many as RRB NTPC mock test series to be in competitive race to clear the examination.
