NarrativeThe Last Goal Everything was going fine, Until the home team was down by one. Would someone score another goal, Before the game was done? One girl took the risky chance, And out she snatched the ball. She took it like a cat does a mouse, She took it without a fall. Now that she had the ball, Down the field she ran. She ran like a cheetah after a gazelle, All a perfectly plotted plan. Standing in front of the goal, She positioned herself to kick. The kick was strong and went right in, It was over all too quick. The team cheered, The crowd went wild. And the girl looked back, And smiled.
