STK/Analyzer Overview • What is it? • A trade study engine for STK • Sample Problems • What is the appropriate orbit to achieve my coverage goals • When is the best launch time to minimize my fuel requirement? • Where should I place my ground stations to achieve highest signal quality • Customer Pain Points • Changing values in STK is a trial and error process • Time consuming • Error prone
STK/Analyzer Trades How does coverage change with inclination angle? How does coverage change when inclination and semi-major are both changed? A launch vehicle will give a certain set of drop-off conditions with known distributions. How does this affect the final orbit? What is the best position to minimize fuel for a maneuver?
New Release: STK/Analyzer 9.2 • Improve ease of use to address the needs of a 2nd wave of users • Minimize scripting/macro requirements • Access all data providers out of the box • Provide complete Object Model coverage • Improve performance • Avoid importing the whole Scenario each time Analyzer loads • Tighter integration with the STK GUI • Eliminate HTML interface, utilize toolbars
New Analyzer GUI Analyzer now launches from a toolbar. To get started, click on the Analyzer icon
Analyzer: Select Variables Instead of importing the whole scenario each time Analyzer loads, users can now just select the variables of interest. This results in significant performance improvements for large scenarios. After selecting an object in the tree, all potential variables for that object are displayed. Variables can be created from any Data Provider.
Other Updates • Time/Date variable types • Multiple accesses as variables • New parameters • Satellite: Mass values • Propagators: HPOP force model • Sensors: Refraction • Transmitter/Receiver: Antenna, Gains & Losses, Filter values • Antenna Objects • Astrogator: Auto Sequence, additional parameters • Intelligent Propagation: only propagate objects that have changed

Time/Date Variables Date variables can now be displayed as string values instead of Epoc seconds
Things to Know • This is a complete rewrite. Older Analyzer setups cannot be loaded into the new Analyzer (saved Trade Studies can still be viewed though) • The new architecture has room to grow. As content is added to the Object Model, we can quickly add content to Analyzer too
