  3. Directions: Read through the following PowerPoint and fill in your guided notes. ***Remember: - EVERY group member is participating - 6 inch voices - EVERY group member is filling out his/her own guided notes packet

  4. Enzymes are picky! If the substrate is not the correct shape, then it will not be able to bind to the enzyme. This means that the reaction would NOT take place.

  5. Open Sesame!! Substrates bind to an enzyme like a key fits into a keyhole to unlock a door. substrate = key enzyme= lock active site= keyhole
