Background Aim To explore the gender difference in jay walking behavior in a section of the CBD. Method Participants Male and female pedestrians crossing at Swanston St/La Trobe St. Materials Tally forms to record behavior, pens. 1 for each pair. Procedure We viewed the pedestrians crossing from a bar on the third floor of Melbourne Central. One pair recorded pedestrian behavior along Swanston St from La Trobe St to Little Lonsdale St. The other pair recorded pedestrian behavior at the intersection of Swanston St and La Trobe St. We recorded for one hour.
