The EU Climate Package The EU will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20 % until 2020 (compared to 1990 levels). The reductions will be increased to 30% in the event of a global binding climate agreement. 20 percent of the EU’s energy consumption should come from renewables by 2020. 10 percent bio fuels in vehicles by 2020. 20 percent increase in energy efficiency.
