  1. Trends in US Border LPR • (& PM Free advice) • Outbound Lanes • Gantry & Fixed • Upgrades in work • WIN7, IT Security, Hi-Res, STID • PM Free Advice Perceptics LLC Proprietary

  2. Outbound Lane LPR Perceptics LLC Proprietary

  3. STID Effects on Read Rates After running the data back through an NVP866 the STID improved the overall site accuracy from 90% to 94.75% (almost a 5% gain) but increased the average read time by 350msec.  Perceptics LLC Proprietary

  4. WHTI Technology RefreshLSC (Option 1) and XVP (Option 2) New LSC w/HD New XVP Board • Equipment Features • LSC (Option 1) • Ocelot PC104 format, with Atom Processor & 2GB Memory • WIN7 OS • -40° C to 85° • 32GB SATA HardDrive, with faster interface & longer life • XVP Processor (Option 2) • PowerQUICC III Processor • Gigabit Ethernet • Real-time kernel w/Encryption • Embedded OCR algorithms, with STID option • -40° C to 70° • 10x faster than NVP • Operational Benefits • LSC (Option 1) • Supports WIN7 OS, as MS Support for XP is phasing out • SATA HardDrive available, as PATA is being discontinued • HardDrive is longer life, with fewer potential failures • XVP Processor (Option 2) • Faster processing will support STID algorithms (Sweetgrass PGAT data saw a 10x reduction in time) • Able to easily fit into existing lane enclosure as shown on right (testing will be done to verify) • Security features include data encryption, secure shell interface (to replace Telnet), image transfer using HTTPS, stronger user authentication, and archival of login attempts Existing Lane Enclosure Perceptics LLC Proprietary

  5. WHTI Technology RefreshHi-Res Camera System(Option 3) • Equipment Features • Integrated Imager Assembly • 4 Megapixel Digital Camera with Wide FOV (15 ft) • eXtended Video Processor (XVP) • Universal Input Voltage • Quick-disconnect connectors with security guard • Smaller enclosure than existing ones in WHTI & LBI lanes • No coax video cables are required • Uses standard strobes used in existing WHTI lanes • Operational Benefits • Allows high resolution images for greater details • 9x pixel resolution over existing dual cameras (18x over WHTI) allows greater details to be identified, such as half-height characters on government plates, and motorcycles • Facilitates STID algorithm image processing • Shown to increase Sweetgrass read rate by almost 5%, well within 1 sec. processing time with XVP processor • Especially useful in seasonal traffic periods with high state count • Wider FOV • Facilitates Less Exclusions which allows LESS MANUAL DATA ENTRY, providing greater lane efficiency and less wait times for busy ports • Minimizes or eliminates out-of-Field license plates • Same cameras supports POV and Commercial (FOV is 15ft wide x 11ft high) • Fewer Failures (1 vs. 2 cameras for Commercial) Perceptics LLC Proprietary

  6. PM Free Advice • Recent examples of NOT having Technical requirements • Saudi CCR (Installation going on NOW) • Just now Simtix is installing the CCR (in front of the prime & customer) • Container height varies by ~ 1m • CC characters are varying by 50% in height • The facility is using a ramp • Installation timing was not related to us, until after the fact • Pentagon installation • Types of plates to be read (33% of plate data collection was government plates with half an third height characters) • Please – let’s get the Requirements UP FRONT – we’ll all do a better job and have better customer relationships. Can we have a SOLUTION, without defining the solution? Let’s be serious about getting the Sales Engr. Checklists and CONOPS. PP1-001 Perceptics LLC Product Overview - Rev 2.2
