  3. Today all religion classes will go to the Chapel for Stations of the Cross.   • All faculty and staff are welcome to come and join in the stations during any period.  

  4. The ultimate Frisbee team beat Upper Saint Clair with a score of 15-5. •  Congratulations to the entire team especially juniors: • Amy Buck- defensive player of the game • Erin Brown- offensive player of the game and  • Francesca Corna- overall player of the game. 

  5. Congratulations, Softball Team • The Oakland Catholic Eagles won their first game against Allderdice. • The team played a strong offensive and defensive game, breaking the tie of 0-0 at the bottom of the 5th and holding Allderdice 2-1 for the next two innings. • The Eagles play today at Penn Hills. • Go Eagles!!

  6. Want to help fix up the homes of the elderly who are on a limited income?   • Help out with Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh on Saturday April 26th.   • Morning and afternoon shifts available. •  See Ms. Farrell to sign up.  

  7. Dancing with the Vikings • Friday, April 11 at Central Catholic • Tickets are on sale during the lunch periods. • Proceeds benefit the Mission projects at both Oakland and Central.

  8. Dress Down Day • TODAY • Cost - $3 • Benefits – ICE Fund

  9. There are 2 more performances of the JOA Theater club’s “Mind Over Manor” Tonight at 7:00pm and tomorrow night at 7pm. Come and enjoy a very funny play!

WIN AN ALEX AND ANI BRACELET!! • The Club Today’s Girls Tomorrow’s Women is selling raffle tickets in order to win an Alex and Ani Bracelet! • All money goes to the Because I am a Girl movement that supports girls’ rights worldwide and lifts millions out of poverty • 1 ticket: 50 cents • 3 tickets: $1 • We are selling them during all lunch periods until next Wednesday!

  12. Cedar Point Post Prom • Cedar Point permission slips are available in the  main office. • Tickets are $100/person and include park ticket, bus ride, pizza buffet and drink wristband. • The trip is open to all Juniors and Seniors, and those attending prom can bring their dates. • Stop in room 211 for more info or questions.

  13. Pittsburgh Black Youth Summit Saturday, May 10 Additional Information is available in the main office.

  14. Prom contracts are now available in the main office. Dresses can be approved by Ms Teeters in room 211 or the main office. All signatures must be completed before purchasing tickets. Ticket sales begin Monday, April 28 in room 211.

  15. Attention Rising Seniors and Rising Juniors! LT Monica Chess from the USNA Office of Admissions will be visiting Oakland Catholic on Friday, May 2nd at Period 2.  If you are interested in learning about life at the US Naval Academy, see Mrs. Just in the Guidance Office to obtain a pass.  Your Period 2 teacher must sign your pass for admittance to this session.
