Eurelectric participates in several EU initiatives to promote e-Mobility
European Electric Vehicle Congress - 26 Snapshot of tomorrow’s smart energy system • Large scale integration of intermittent decentralised generation • - New types of loads connected to the distribution grid • Evs, PVs • Demand side management
Results of control strategies on grid reinforcements Control strategy: Unidirectional power flow Bidirectional communication Control strategy: Bidirectional power flow Bidirectional communication No control strategy 3.7 kW 3.7 kW 3.7 kW 11 kW 11 kW 11 kW Smart charging in an absolute prerequisite
Bringing customers on board … • Off-peak charging schemes (22:00-06:00) with a price incentive compared to normal charging cost. • Low user acceptance is observed for participation in Vehicle-to-Grid scheme (V2G, bidirectional communication) • Financial benefits for user to join V2G
A integrated approach to deliver eMobility responding to customer needs
Green eMotion • Development of an European Framework for Electro-mobility FP7 call TRANSPORT - 2010 TREN -1 42 partners Project Start: March 2011
Green eMotion: Overall Project Aim EU-wide market roll out • Connection of national / regional projects • Market place • Interoperability and standards EU project Green eMotion Proof of interoperability Proof of protocols and interfaces Marketplace and advanced services Consumer awareness and acceptance Legislative support Policies and regulation Consumer incentives Mass market (start) Standardised solutions for vehicles infrastructure, network and IT applications Preconditions and user acceptance National / regional projects Proof technology Test of operation and billing First business models Initial local consumer awareness
