Soil and People project supported by ILC • Overall actions focused on capacity building and advocacy. • Involved organisations/countries: • Environment Liaison Centre International (ELCI), Kenya, • NGO BIOS (Moldova), • CICODEV-Africa (Senegal) and • ACF (Zambia)
Results: • 2 cases of small scale farms were selected and documented. The case studies link people centred land tenure to soil fertility, food production, healthy biodiversity and sustainable development • In-country consultative meetings in Moldova to build consensus on the understanding of IYS and Engagement Strategy. • In-country stakeholders forum to disseminate case study findings. • Complementary activities with Soil and People project

Development of Environmental and Social Management Plans, funded by MCC • THVA • rehabilitated ten irrigation systems, • established 10 Water Users Associations for about 5000 agricultural producers with a total irrigated area of up to 15,000 ha.
