Local Government Reform Programme • Regional delivery structure established in 2012 • Local Government (Boundaries) Order approved (June 2012) • £47.8million transition funding package (February 13) • STC regulations in operation (July 2013) • Councillors’ severance scheme launched (August 13) • Councillors’ Remuneration Panel to make recommendations (November 2013) • Executive agrees introduction of LG Bill • (Sept 2013)

The Transfer Package • Planning • Local development plan functions • Development management and enforcement • Roads • Off street parking (except Park and Ride) • Urban regeneration and community development • Housing • Registration of houses in multiple occupation/Housing unfitness • Local Economic Development (transfer from Invest NI) • Local Tourism • Other • Delivery of the EU Rural Development Programme • Authority to Spot List on a temporary basis, • Authority to draw up local lists of buildings that are of architectural and/or historic interest • Armagh County Museum • Local water recreational facilities • Local sports (greater involvement of local government in local sports decisions) • Donaghadee Harbour
