Requirements 1. Library Card and PIN (PIN is created when logging into your Library Account online the 1st time. 2. Device to read ebook on. (Kindle, Nook, Ereader, Ipad, Android, Computer, etc.) 3. Adobe Digital Editions Account (not needed for Kindle) 4. Amazon Account (only if using Kindle) 5. Overdrive Media Console App (only if using an Apple or Android mobile device to read the ebook)
Kindle Instructions: 1. Visit the library website (www.dovertownlibrary.org) 2. Click on the link down the right side that says “Check out Audiobooks Ebooks Overdrive” 3. Check out a Kindle book (library card required). 4. Click on “Get for Kindle.” You will then be directed to Amazon.com to redeem your public library loan. You will be required to login to your Amazon.com account — or create a new account — if you’re not already logged in. Choose to read the book on your Kindle device, or Kindle App. Note: Public library books require an active Wi-Fi connection for wireless delivery to a Kindle device. Library books will not be delivered via your Kindle’s 3G connection. If your Kindle is 3G only, download the book to your computer and transfer it via USB cable to your Kindle.
Nook Instructions: 1. Visit the library website (www.dovertownlibrary.org) 2. Click on the link down the right side that says “Check out Audiobooks Ebooks Overdrive” 3. Check out an EPub book (library card required) by clicking on Add to Cart. 4. Click on Proceed to Checkout. Change the lending period if you wish. Click on Confirm Checkout. 5. Click Download and open with Adobe Digital Editions. 6. Plug your Nook into your computer and transfer the book to your Nook by clicking on the bookshelf icon within Adobe Digital Editions so you can see your book. Then drag it to your Nook.
Ipad/Android Instructions: 1. Download the Overdrive Media Console app. 2. Associate the Overdrive app with your Adobe account. 3. Add the Minuteman Library Network to the app. 4. Check out an EPub or Kindle book (library card required). 5. Epub books will download directly into your Overdrive app. Kindle will take you to the Amazon website to transfer it to your desired device. Opening your Kindle App and syncing will transfer the book to your Kindle App.
