National Skills Development Strategy – Mission Statement • To equip SA with the skills to succeed in the global market and to offer opportunities to individuals and communities for self-advancement to enable them to play a productive role in society.
Five Objectives Identified to Drive the NSDS • To develop a culture of high quality lifelong learning • To foster skills development in the formal economy for productivity and employability • To stimulate and support skills development in small businesses • To promote skills development for employability and sustainable livelihoods through social development initiatives • To assist new entrants into employment
ISETT Seta’s Learnership Objectives • To identify, design, develop and plan for the implementation of Learnerships with a minimum of 1000 learners by march 31st, 2003.
